Properly sized equipment is VERY important. Visit a store first and determine your proper size. Please see below for a list of retail and online stores. Always feel free to email us with any questions!!!
WYL BOYS HELMET (SPRING 2022)
While playing lacrosse, the HELMET is one of the most important items you will purchase for your son. No matter what brand you choose, there is an array of helmets for each age group.
In order to keep a unified look to our team members, especially if you are buying a NEW helmet, we ask that you please purchase a BLACK helmet. We will offer the opportunity to customize the helmet with the team decals.
If you are interested in purchasing an official Wayland Youth Lacrosse Helmet please reach out to the Boys Commissioner.
SHOULDER PADS / CHEST PROTECTORS (Spring 2022)
A new safety rule began January 1, 2022 with a requirement that all SHOULDER PADS meet a new NOCSAE ND200 requirement.
Product compliance with ND200 reduces impact forces and thus the risk of commotio cordis (cardiac arrest due to a blow to the heart area).
This rule standard was previously put into place on January 1, 2021 for GOALIE CHEST PROTECTORS.
CLICK HERE to read up more on the NOCSAE ND200 standard, or reach out to your coaches to help you determine if your equipment meets league standards.
OTHER EQUIPMENT
Equipment can last up to FOUR seasons, when fitted properly, depending on the growth of your child. Sticks can last longer at the younger levels. DO NOT overpay for a stick. Please feel free to reach out to your child's coach for advice.
